The businesses around the world need to be able to adapt to the new way that things have to work in order for us to reduce the environmental impact of our society. If we don't then our planet will be too hot for us and everything else living on it.

Some examples include the fast food chain businesses. We can see the change from plastic straws to paper straws, but we also see Dollerama, where they sell plastic straws. The supposeover-regulationon obusinessesses is not working.

Over-regulation is definitely a problem, but I would make an exception for enironmental regulation becaause of its significance.

Someone has to take the lead. If countries continue to drop out of the Paris Agreement, and citizens fail to hold their elected leaders accountable, no one will cut emissions effectively over the coming decades.

Change cannot be done on a grand scale without working together. Government happens to be one of the best avenues to facilitate that change for a society.

Business is totally under-regulated. Why should huge corporations and individuals have billions of dollars and resources while there are people actively starving in the street?

Business will be either the saviour, or downfall of every country in the world. It is the only thing with enough sway to push change and quite literally pay politicians to care, but also houses immense inequity, nepotism and greed.

This is more of an American issue, but companies going ham; dumping chemicals into rivers and such is still a thing.
