Should the government increase environmental regulations on businesses to reduce carbon emissions?
No, and the current government is over-regulating businesses
Why should huge corporations and individuals have billions of dollars and resources while there are people actively starving in the street?
Business will be either the saviour, or downfall of every country in the world. It is the only thing with enough sway to push change and quite literally pay politicians to care, but also houses immense inequity, nepotism and greed.
That isn’t to say that all business should be treated as equal. Much like how our tax brackets should be, there should be a system of allocating regulations by income/size of the business. A mom and pop shop shouldn’t have to be out of business because they can’t keep up with the expenses that Walmart eats as a microwave appetizer.
There absolutely must be enough incentive in business to promote competition and investment, but not enough for individuals to hoard wealth/resources that they can’t even conceptualize.
