It’s their choice, and it’s an impactful one that should require thinking of what’s right for them. If they choose to go through with it then they should know it’s what they want, and if they don’t want it, then they shouldn’t do it. If they do go through with it, then regret it, that’s on them for making such a big choice that should require weeks of forethought.
