Surgeries that are irreversible shouldn't ask the parents for consent, instead, they should put an age requirement of 18+. Otherwise, for treatments that are reversible should have a lower age cap.

Their body. Their choice. Decision and responsibility to research their options is on them.

I cannot make an informed opinion. I have no idea if it is safe long term. So my go to policy, is when you are able to get a tattoo, you can get transition surgery. Before that I think you are to young and dumb.

i believe people under 20 should not be allowed to decide what they are and who they like.

Allow minors to use puberty blockers and let them start transitioning at age 16?

Very little of transitioning is "irreversible". There is no one way to stop every person from making a decision they may regret, I don't see why the government has to intervene when trans people are involved. When someone has transitioned socially (eg. they are out to their family and friends), that in itself is freeing for a lot of trans people. We as a society need to foster an environment of general acceptance for peoples' right to wear apparel and modify their body as they choose.

No sex changes until you are 20. Or mandatory military service prior to change

 @9Y5FKKGfrom Ontario  answered…2wks2W

everyone has their right to express their gender but they should be well informed before doing it.

getting changing surgery at 18 when they are an adult but they can still freely express themselves before that

I think a way to balance an individual's right to express their identity with the need to protect them from possibly making irreversible choices too early is to make them go through a proccess of mentaly transitioning them before physicaly transitioning them so they get the feel of what it will be like before they go through with it.

don’t let children take drugs to transition i don’t think the government should be involved unless they are under 18. they should be able to experiment with what they think they are if they see fit.

 @9XYC3PVfrom Ontario  answered…2wks2W

Once an individual has reached the age of majority, they ought to be able to do as they please. It's none of my business.

 @9WZ55P8 from Ontario  answered…3wks3W

I think such a a choice, is a personal one, and the federal government should not step in unless the choice is being made for people under age of 18.

If they make the choice then that’s their mistake. It’s their choice, and it’s an impactful one that should require thinking of what’s right for them. If they choose to go through with it then they should know it’s what they want, and if they don’t want it, then they shouldn’t do it. If they do go through with it, then regret it, that’s on them for making such a big choice that should require weeks of forethought.
