Very little of transitioning is "irreversible"

There is no one way to stop every person from making a decision they may regret, I don't see why the government has to intervene when trans people are involved. When someone has transitioned socially (eg. they are out to their family and friends), that in itself is freeing for a lot of trans people. We as a society need to foster an environment of general acceptance for peoples' right to wear apparel and modify their body as they choose.
