Should there be more restrictions on the current process of purchasing a gun?

This was supposed to be a Canadian quiz

Why are the references about US incidents? I believe that our gun purchasing laws are sufficient. It is the illegal purchasing that needs to be policed better. Stopping illegal weapons entering the country would be a better starting point.
