Pro-Lifers seem to see life as sacred and they often come from religious backgrounds in which life is god's creation and it's of utmost importance.
As a pro-abortion person, I simply don't believe in life's sacredness, I value the already developped individual and their sense of individuality and freedom, more than the wellbeing of the unborn child, which from my understanding is unconscious or extremely limited in its awareness.
I am also worried about the impact an unborn child can have on someone monetarily, pychologically, even physically (whether its aesthetics or if there's actual health risks) and also for unborn child's quality of life. Too many times has foster proven to be bad for kids, families are the foundations of society.
Then there's the idea of rape, incest, teenage mishaps (bad decisions). I don't see how we can force someone to endure or have trauma from these experiences, I believe that in the case of bad decisions, that for sure there's an arugment to be made but I couldn't possibly understand how someone could force a 16, 17 even an young adult to have a baby because they decided to have sex and the condom pierced.
I understand that irresponsible people need to learn from mistakes but I doubt a full pregnancy is worth the price for takeaways.
