Global cooperation is one of the most effective tools to improve our own citizens' wellbeing

For example, trade with the United States has made Canadians much wealthier, and the opposite is true as well. If we work to maintain strong relationships with other countries, it will improve our citizens' wellbeing as well through gains from trade.
