The latter could be recycled to make homes, furniture and therefore cut down on the need for trees. I feel that cutting carbon emissions, when we are carbon based creatures is oversold to the public and creating a lot of uncertainty. Grow more trees and stop cutting them down. Coal should be abolished and petroleum chemicals sold abroad to polluting countries who now rely on coal—at least middle term until renewables are more efficient in all weather conditions and proven to work over the long term. We really don’t know the environmental issues until we are faced with replacing electric car batteries, solar panels and wind turbines. Where do we dispose of used parts and was are the long reaching effects.
