Yes

There is no evidence that the people who are in power in Gaza (Hamas) are willing to negotiate in good faith. They are a terrorist organization who only continue to vow to kill all Jewish people, and they are a threat to humanity. We should side with Israel and help them defend themselves, especially considering how much Israel contributes to healthcare innovation, and the overall well-being of people around the world with their technology. We should support Israel as much as possible. Israel shares many of our values and goals whereas the people in Gaza do not. It is sad and unfortunate, but a cease-fire will not change that.

 @9LSTTFJfrom Ontario  disagreed…11mos11MO

Hamas is a terrorist organization that does not play by the same rules as legitimate national governments. Their main objective is to erase Israel and all Jews. A cease fire only provides Hamas time to regroup, rearm, and replan more terrorist attacks. Hamas hides behinds civilians. If the Palestinian people don’t want to be casualties of war they need to oust Hamas themselves. Is Israel supposed to just accept a neighbour whose entire purpose is to commit genocide against its people.
What if Israel was America? It was, when the Taliban attacked and America was justified in its 20 year war.

No

 @B2S35ZYConservativefrom Ontario  agreed…1mo1MO

A cease-fire will only allow Hamas to rebuild and arm themselves again. They want to prepare for future attacks and prolong the cycle of violence rather than end it. Increased military pressure is necessary to secure the release of the hostages and dismantle Hamas‘s military capabilities. A cease-fire without clear conditions will signal weakness and bold in Hamas and other militant groups to launch future attacks. Previous these fires have often been temporary with him using them to recover before launching new attacks, which means a lasting resolution is unlikely while Hamas continues to hold any power. Pausing military action without concrete concessions like surrender or leadership change will undermine Israel’s position and negotiations.

 @B2WTBBNfrom Quebec  answered…4wks4W

Yes, and try Israeli government officials and dismantle Hamas and other Palestinian militant organizations.

 @B2SWR5QConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1mo1MO

No, I support the government calling for a permanent sustainable peace that is based on the Palestinians recognizing Israel's right to exist in its current borders, as well as waive their right to return.

 @B25LX3Vfrom Montana  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, but there's also been multiple ceasefires that have been broken, so I understand the stupidity of those who still cry for a ceasefire

 @B23CRQ3from Nova Scotia  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, and we should also commit to supporting the Palestinian Armed Resistance groups to eliminte Israel and Zionism.

 @B2JBSJ2from Ontario  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, war anywhere is ugly. Ideally we'd maturely solve problems with words and respect. But don't call for one side to cease fire at the expense of the other. Both need to peacefully stop.

 @B2BM93Xfrom Ontario  answered…2mos2MO

No, I believe more so in a ground sweep to specifically target Hamas to avoid the civilian casualities which Hamas uses as shields.

 @B29S24XConservativefrom Kentucky  answered…2mos2MO

No, but Israel should try to minimize its attacks to only places where terror groups like Hamas and Hezbollah are meeting.

 @B29BM44from Ontario  answered…2mos2MO

This is not a Canadian problem, we have enough issues to deal with. Israel is surrounded by terror threats and they have the right to protect them selfs, that being said there should be a two state solution but it’s up to those countries to figure it out

 @B28797Sfrom Alberta  answered…2mos2MO

No. Hamas is a criminal terrorist organization and the Palestinians support this hate group so the ceasefire is pointless

A call for Israel to halt military tactics that cause mass casualties, but still commit to the removal of Hamas from power in Gaza.

 @9KLT7LCRhinocerosfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, provided both sides agree to the ceasefire, aid is given to ailing citizens, and hostages are released.

What's happening in Gaza is atrocious but this isn't Canadians business to get involved in. I want the citizens of Palestine to be safe.

 @9K4PKQ5from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I support a conditional ceasefire with the conditions put forward by Israel- the immediate release of all the hostages and the surrender, and permanant removal of Hamas from Gaza.

 @9JWZJD3Rhinocerosfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Other countries sticking their nose in the political landscape got us into the current mess. Ceasefire or not, things need to be figured out

 @9JVNB5Gfrom Manitoba  answered…1yr1Y

I think they should nuke them all after they hide all the Hamas leaders, hail, Hamas, and hail Hitler

 @9JV5LCX from New Brunswick  answered…1yr1Y

Tell all sides to stop fighting each other and allow for peace to prosper while allowing for more freedom while preventing deaths of innocent people.

 @9JMWT93from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

If a permanent ceasefire would call for no more terrorist attacks, then yes, but this calling from Canada will not change the unrealistic scenario as Gaza will always enact violence towards Israel if led by a terrorist Jihad regime.

 @9JM5826from Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

I agree with Ceasfire and disagree at the same time because there were hostages that Israelis wanted to be freed and to do that they kept firing. But, in the meantime, they killed many to do that, and I don't agree with that.

 @9JM57ZYfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

There are 2 sides to this war. As one side can reload on ammunition and weapons and as the other side people can find a haven but also get captured this ceasefire is a benefit and non-benefit to both countries.

 @9JL9XYZConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

It’s not our war and we need to focus on ourselves not two genisidal countries that have wanted to kill each other for the past 5000years

 @9WKLBWBfrom British Columbia  answered…5mos5MO

I do support a ceasefire but the palestinians have a right to defend themselves from foreign occupation.

No to any involvement. Let Israel stand on its own two feet and atone for how it has treated Palestinians since 1948. The country should never have been formed in the first place. Let them make their own way with Iran, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and other Arab states. Then, let's see how the bully makes out in the playground.

 @9LH8D5MLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, but only if it results in the destruction of Hamas and Palestine Authority control within Gaza

 @9ZK3JNSfrom British Columbia  answered…4mos4MO

No, but I support the demilitarization of Israel and believe Hamas and other groups should be free to liberate palestine, Israel has no right to exist.
