Education should incorporate good Christian values. It instills morals at a young age and teaches what is right and wrong. Canada was founded on Christianity and children should know that.

Canada was founded on blood and tricky ethical grounds. It is not our right to establish one religion over any others, only communal ethics.

It was the Catholic Church who created residential schools -- VERY moral amirite? /s

I don't think religion should play a strict role in education as Canada is a multifaith country and limiting people to one religion and forcing its teaching could consider it as assimilation.

 @9KQMKNXfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

religion should be something parents teach and pass down thru generations. If a family decides to be athiest, that's their choice. if a child brought up in a religious household decides to be athirst, that's their choice too. if an athirst child turns religious, that's their choice. should be separate from education.

Religion was here before I was born; therefore, people should be educated about it. But they should not be driven to rivalries based on past events.

 @9KPBQ8Zfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Religion should have nothing to do with education. Any one has the right to learn regardless of their belief

 @9KNZB9Pfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

To impart and establish vital values in individuals and youth in order to promote a safer and more productive society.

 @9KRJVJPfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Not much! Children should be able to choose their own path with little direction from teachers or others that are not part of their family .

 @9KQNB3Kfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Education should teach world religions but religion should not be imposed on anyone. It should only be taught and not imposed.

 @9KKC3F6from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

no I didn't think religion should play into education everyone should learn the same things and religion should be a class that they could take after school

 @9KK2GFDfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Religion can play a part in education as it teaches morality, lessons, critical thinking, religion history and many more. I think it should be considered a course or subject because of these reasons.

 @9KLY56Y from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Religion should not be involved in children's education at all. There shouldn't be any religious school boards or private schools, as this can cloud children's judgement on what religion they want to follow. It should be their choice, and children have no choice in where they go to school, it's their parent's decision. Christian schools go against basic rights in Canada. Everyone should be able to choose their religion, and children can be easily indoctrinated to follow their schools religion.

 @9KJZR4Rfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I think that religion should be teached in schools, so that the students can have interest on serving god or get to know god more. By teaching religion students may or may not learn good manners and right conducts.

I dont think your religon should impact your educatio though i feel you shoulfd feel free to express it and we should learn about important historical impacts that impacted them if there big like the holocaust but it shouldnt your chance of succeding just becuasde of your religon

 @9KQXWQPfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I do believe religion should be taught in school as it does okay a role in history

 @9KQQPJFfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Limited, religion should have no place in controlling what is taught in schools, but should be allowed to be taught as a subject to promote understanding between faiths or lack there of.

 @9KLN3RGfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

If it's a religious school (Catholic schools, christian schools, etc.) The religion should be implied in classes.

 @9KJZH2Xfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Religion isn't very important in education because kids can get their educations and then they can decide what religion they want to believe in once they grow up.

 @9KDTZGCfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

it depends if it is a private or public school. If it is a private school with a specific religion then you should study that.

 @9KQRSQ9from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

that it should be taxed, too many religions have heavily political views and it goes from being a faith to a political party on its own.

None - religion should be taught in the home and education institutions should continue to celebrate, but not teach or enforce, all religions.

 @9KFPG7Wfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Religion should play a major role in the education of minors because it is a large group of people who believe in their own things and is faithful.

 @9KLBRBNfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Religion should play no role in public education. It can be taught in a religion or history class, but history shouldn't be viewed through the lens of religion, nor should religion class be biased towards 1 religion in particular. Religion should not enter science class, ever.

 @9KLYK7Z from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I believe religion should be taught in school, however not in a way that is objective. It should be taught from a diverse perspective - this way kids are exposed to different religions and have a better understanding of the cultures surrounding them.

 @9KLVZYYfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Religion should play a guiding role in education, because this allows students to feel the charm of faith.

 @9KLXYZQConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I think religion should be optional and open to anyone who is interested. I do not think it should be pushed
