Doesn't bother me a whole lot...although some times it does feel a bit rude. I work in a very diverse workforce and have many cultures around me.

Many different languages being spoken represents a safer environment as they feel more comfortable to not conform to the English speakers and feel more at home

I quite enjoy listening to other languages, they sound prettier then english, and flow better. I don't know why I feel this way.

I feel fine because I come from a place where they speak a different language

 @9QQBPKGConservativefrom Texas  answered…9mos9MO

Every individual should be able to speak thier own language freely but should learn how to speak English and or French for their own positive benefit

Everyone already has the same legal rights, regardless if you're a "minority" or not. I don't care at all when I hear a language that I don't understand, just keep it out of the workplace or in public services, especially if you're in an English speaking country. This would not be controversial if you're a citizen in any other nation. You're expected to engage in a certain degree of assimilation; that is if you're accepted at all based on your ethnicity in far more radical Eastern countries. "Minority Rights" is not an issue in the West.

I don't feel angryI only feel angry when I see more minority groups than actu al canadians like we’ve become the minority

To be honest, change is good. We need change, we need more culture in our society. The differences is what brings us together and brings colour into our life. People speaking different languages is amazing, it’s a form of communication that ties into different cultures. That’s why Toronto as a city is amazing due to its diversity. Everyone here is considered an immigrant or atleast most people are.

 @9K4LXDXConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

I think its interesting. How language works. We used to communicate by grunts and now we can just flow out a language and not have to think about what to say and it amazing how humans have evolved to do so.

 @9JZMBGWConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I wonder why I had never heard it before, and wish I could learn to understand it

When I hear languages I don't understand, I feel a mix of curiosity and fascination. It's like a reminder of the vastness and diversity of the world. I think this feeling stems from a natural human curiosity to explore and understand different cultures. It's an opportunity to learn and appreciate the richness of language and the people who speak it.

I get really mad because the immigrants should go back to there own country. I'm just trying to order food and I can't because immigrants are running the country now. I don't know why I feel that way. Probably because white is right!!

I feel as if it's difficult for me to understand people when they speak a different language, but I can't change that about them any more than I could change who they are.

Most of the time it does not bother me but sometimes when I feel I'm in a postition where I may not be liked by a certain group of people and I hear them talking in a differnt language and it seems to be towards me, it makes me feel uneasy.

 @9K3D65FConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I don’t think anything of it. EVEYONE should be given the human right to talk and or express themselves even if it means in a new language

 @9K29PN7Libertarianfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I don’t care in the slightest. It should be required to learn English in Canada, however.

 @9JYXBXNConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I feel that in more populated areas in Ontario, White/caucasian people are the minority because of how many immigrants are being allowed into the country. Hearing other languages is more of a normal than something new.

 @9JWKY77Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I don't really care but I think that more money should be spent in welcoming programs and language barrier programs.

 @9J7VVDJConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Feeling intrigued by unfamiliar languages is a positive and open-minded response. It reflects a curiosity and appreciation for the beauty of linguistic diversity. Wanting to learn more can lead to greater cultural understanding and connection with people from different backgrounds. Embracing the richness of languages is a wonderful way to foster inclusivity and expand one's perspective on the world.

 @9JVVX2BConservative from Saskatchewan  answered…1yr1Y

I feel when i hear languages i don't understand and am accepting of this as i believe that we should be accepting of all cultures, and as long as they are acting is a respectful manner then this is my viewpoint.

 @9JVMDVDConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I feel like there should be minority rights for everyone, but if you are moving here to our country, you should be able to speak one of the 2 languages that are spoken by everyone. A society can not function together like clockwork if nobody speaks the same language.

 @9JTXK3JConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

Fine I feel anyone should feel welcome to speak any language which makes them more comfortable, however I feel all business signs should have to have some sort of English description on them.
