How should the success of a country's educational system be measured, and what experiences from your school can you relate to this?

The students should be tested periodically and the best outcomes should be implemented. The better the school and teachers, the more a student learns and benefits. More time should be spent on core subjects with some social activities encouraged.

Ask the people

Ask the people who graduated in the last 5 years and see if they liked it, if they would want to put their kids through it, and what improvements could be made.

Any other metric is pointless. Interested kids are learning kids.
