Individuals CAN have an impact but in most cases the important changes come from govenrment or corporate decisions.

 @9HCCVDZfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Is important both as individual and a corporate level because we can start with ourself and after we can see the changes.

 @9HCM99RPeople’sfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I think the most important is, first, for actions to be implemented at a government or corporate level because it sets an expectation and example. If these were not in place and instead individual actions were the only ones taken, the changes would not be seen on an impactful scale.

 @9H9RB5Lfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I believe both the government and individual actions have an impact, but the government more so.

 @9HBL7K3from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I feel as though both groups can do more to help with the enviroment. Just me alone is not going to help

 @9HB3MV2from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Your actions not only determine how many GHGs you physically put in the atmosphere, but also, perhaps more importantly, your words and actions influence others.

 @9HBNVY3Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I think it is more important for changes to be made at a governmental level as this encourages people to make individual changes.

 @9HCMW67from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

As individuals our changes do very little. Hugely populated countries such as China are the major polluters.

 @9H82FB7from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

It is more important for changes to be made at a government or coporate level because there needs to be enviromental laws to build a sustainable enviroment.

 @9HBDT87from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

 @9HBCVCKfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I think that everything should be sorted into green bins, garbage and recycling to make sure we don’t increase non needed pollution.

 @9H9QP5Vfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

It is possible if a person has enough public leverage and has their own power gang or association.

 @9H9T9D2from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I believe individual action have an impact on the environment. All the individual acts build up over time to become a big impact.

 @9H9TJ8Kfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Individuals should be in control of how they affect the environment and that the government should change it too because they can have a large affect on how the environment is changing.

 @9HBV6FXLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Changes at government and corporate level as even with individuals won’t be enough to make a change.

 @9HB42J5from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I believe both the government and individual actions have a significant impact on the environment, however the government more.

 @9HBJZMCfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Both, both are good because one person can change more than just them they can change there hole family then that family will talk to another family and therefor changing that family basically spreading not a disease but a better environmental view.

 @9HBK4JNLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Individual actions have a smaller impact on the environment compared to big corporations. I believe that the government should take more control and change.

 @9HCCPVGfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Each one of should have a role in protecting the environment,not just the government

 @9HBH2Y6from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I think it has an impact on the environment because your actions do affect and change something that you do.

 @9HBP2GLfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I feel that it's more important for changes to be made at a corporate level because everyone has there own opinion

 @9H9RMMVfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

It is unrealistic to imagine people will mobilize against climate change without government or corporate change. Single people of course cannot make change without immense activism.

 @9HBT66Cfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

i think changes should be made with government or corporate level because one single person won’t create problems

 @9H9VHH3Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

yes the person is responsible for tasking care of the environment and the government should support them

 @9HBBRVPNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I believe individual actions don't have a significant impact unless if it's done regularly.

 @9HCGMCTfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I think changes need to be made on a larger scale because big companies impact the environment the most.

 @9TFK29Qfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

Some individual actions do have a larger impact, when compared with the population. But other issues need the government and corporate level's help.

 @9TFK7JCfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

I think that if you look at everyone who helps the envirourment together it makes a smaller difference but its a bigger difference the longer time passes, the more people the sooner the bigger the difference.

 @9TFHDPQfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

 @9TB3ZHCfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

Individual actions can play a part in the fight in the climate crisis. However it is obvious that the small ripples of the many will not be able to account for the tidal waves of the few. Our only hope is that the tidal waves lift us up and carry us the right way.

 @9T86592from Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

I personally think that it is more important for changes to be made on a governmental level, because the environment is a worldwide problem, and one person can't change the world. Even if a group of 1000 people together wouldn't be able to change pollution, exterminate the use of fossil fuels and all the other environmental problems in the world.

 @9T7BTG5New Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

I think individuals can have an impact but I think it's more important for changes to be made at a larger level. The majority of emissions are coming from large corporations, not individual people, so they're the ones that need to be better regulated.

 @9T6H6Z7from Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

Individual actions can have a lasting impact, there are many ways to help the environment but our current government is not doing that.

 @9SWJ4RXfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

 @9QSYXP9from Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

Both individual actions and systemic changes at the governmental and corporate levels are essential for environmental impact.
Individual actions:
Encourage personal responsibility and awareness
Governmental and corporate changes:
Create frameworks for long-term, structural change

 @9QSYQCSfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

I think that individual actions are a good start to making change, but I also think that in order to make a bigger difference these actions should be encouraged by the government of in schools.

 @9QQVYPLfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

Yes no matter what individual actions can have a impact to the envirenment like any other actions could.

 @9QQVKZBfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, because a select few individuals, such as Taylor Swift are responsible for most of the carbon emissions.

 @9QQMRLDfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

No i believe people outside of the government have and should have a lot to say as they are out of the restricted environment

 @9QQK6KFLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

Individual actions can have a significant impact on the environment if everybody as an individual is doing it, so obviously people have to make small changes to their lifestyle to reduce emissions. On the other hand, larger changes (switching energy sources) has to be done at a governmental/corporate level, so both have a large impact, but larger changes from governmental/corporate level will have a larger impact because it doesn't depend on people willing to change.

 @9QQJ3YRNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

 @9QQGGYJfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

Individual actions may not have profound impact on the environment, but if everybody does them, it can make a difference.

 @9QQBMRTfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

I think that individual actions can have a significant impact on the environment. However, I think the government should still take action.

 @9Q54XLFfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, individuals working within the free market will always be more effective than government regulation

 @9PXSBSYfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

I believe that a governmental and corporal level of environmentalism dictates individual actions of environmentalism.

 @9T54XB4from Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

It is important that actions are performed by large groups of people, regardless of status.

 @9T32HZQfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

Both are needed but individuals should and need to change their ways of conducting themselves. Limiting your personal use of plastics and pollutants is critical

 @9SZKVH5Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

Yes it does impact individual actions based on how they treat their environmental surroundings and what their values including awareness reflects on their respect for Mother Nature. However this needs to be both in a governmental and corporate level because it is very important to prioritize the safety of living mammals all around us and to strongly support geological and geographical preservation of the region in order to keep our country livable and sustainable.

 @9SZJWWWfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

Governmental and corporate level. Particularly in China and India, who are the leading contributors of pollution world-wide.
