Should the federal government subsidize the production and consumption of renewable energy sources?

It depends on the type of renewable energy

If it has low environmental impacts like nuclear or hydro, then yes they should be subsidized but sources like wind power and solar farms have been proven to have harmful affects on ecosystems and therefore in my opinion should not be subsidized.
