The transportation sector is the main contributor of greenhouse gases. One initiative towards mitigating these gases is sustainable transportation, with significant reductions in emissions in this sector.

yes and no because it will be better if we used electric cars and buses but we will also lose because the bills will be higher not only that the electric will be way too much
@B47XGM63wks3W
I feel like a improvement in any and all public trains and buses is necessary not if it runs on electric or fossil fuel
@B47FML73wks3W
No because we don't have the infrastructure to support the electricity demand required for public transit to be electric.
@B3VGT8M1mo1MO
To a possible point, when it becomes a problem we should save it for later use and focus on current affairs.
@B2YCTLZ2mos2MO
battery powered or electric public transportation should be implemented in large cities where the infrastructure can support it without having to create a bunch of new waste.
@9T26WNP7mos7MO
Ev’s are too unreliable for Canadian weather, if anything we should use hybrids in order to reduce carbon emissions
@95M7W763yrs3Y
Yes, and more solar powered buses and trains instead of batteries
Yes, but the change should be gradual
@957Y89S3yrs3Y
yes, it depends on where you live, if you live in a cold snowy place or somewhere where it has less sunlight it can be dangerous, yes if you live in a war sunny place
@92M8FFH3yrs3Y
Yes, we should look to hydrogen cells after the successful pilot that was done in Alberta with Semi's running between Edmonton and Calgary and use this as a way to address fuel for buses. Should look into expanding rail systems and potentially leverage hydrogen to generate the electricity since the by product from this is water. You can then use that water after running it through a remineralizing process. This water can then be allocated to help farmers in areas of the country that are going through drought or drought like conditions to help reduce strain on local water supplies.

all vehicles should run on the tears and blood of peasants
@8YW224FConservative3yrs3Y
No, but try to make more of them electric
@8VNZPWH4yrs4Y
We should work towards this in the future
@8VLD6CSConservative4yrs4Y
If it’s electric it won’t really help anything because it’s getting oil energy
@8VKB27D4yrs4Y
Yes, if energy to charge the public buses and trains comes from sustainable and renewable energy sources.
@9BVK4972yrs2Y
Electric vehicles are huge polluters and batteries need lithium. lithium is almost gone. The EV revolution is a complete lie
@9958DJ52yrs2Y
Yes but only if it is more incentivized and the power comes from different sources (nuclear and renewable) not burning fossil fuels.
