we should build more liveable and walkable/cycleable cities so that folks do not need to rely so heavily on cars or transit. While all transit that does exist should run on renewable energy, this energy must be harnessed in a way that honours the sovereignty of Indigenous Nations and does not harm the land.

batteries are just as bad as gas

Yes, but not at the expense of getting transit services implemented efficiently.
Neutral: Electric powered vechiles comes with a different set of environmental issues but they do reduce the emissions of green-house gasses.

the sudden change would be drastically expensive and the gov cant take on any more debt, so yes there should be a change but it needs to be gradual

Yes, but the government should create green jobs and support local cities transition to electic power
@8VKMLQTNew Democratic4yrs4Y
Focus should be on making it affordable

Yes if there if it is done with Tramways/Trolleybuses to reduce the amount of batteries. Hydrogen and other alternatives could be used in less populated areas where the infrastructure needed out ways the demand.
@995TZQD2yrs2Y
yes if possible,if not and its too expensive no

I believe that there should be research done and then there should be a vote. I also believe it doesn't really matter as long as this system is providing transportation for everyone.
@9863L762yrs2Y
only if the electric power is produced in a clean way. id rather have a gas powered bus then a electric powered bus that get the power from a coal power plant.
@8VNQR4J4yrs4Y
Yes if they are able to, extra transit is needed in rural areas, especially to help lower income and Indigenous folk so regular vehicles could go there
