Jagmeet Singh, leader of the NPD party, proposes forgiving up to $20,000 of student loan debt and doubling student grants, as well as giving new graduates a five-year grace period for federal loan payments. This is based on the fact that, according to studies, in recent years, numerous students have been unable to repay their academic loans.

Tuition shouldn't be so dang fricken high when universities haven't expanded their capacity in the last 30 years. Why am I paying more for schooling then my parents.
I think that forgiving up to $20,000 of student loan debt could provide relief to many individuals, however it may not be fair to those who have already paid off their loans or who didn't take out loans.
