The federal government should be proud of our natural resources and support this sector fully and stop preventing us from getting resources to market. Our federal government should fully support oil and natural gas and do everything they can to make Canada top player in this area. Other countries have made fools of Canada and Canadians by pitting us against each other in order to stop us from being a top oil producer in the world. Our politicians have done us a huge disservice and they should be incredibly ashamed. They are running our country. We have produced our oil ethically and responsibly. We should be proud, not ashamed. Our government is the laughing stock as we have bought into the climate change agenda at our own fiscal demise. Meanwhile, other countries are laughing all the way to the bank with their oil. Fossil fuels are in just about everything we have, use and own. Things like wind turbines use many fossil fuels to make almost every part of the turbine and to power it as a back up. Oil is needed. Full stop. We can embrace it, produce it ethically and responsibly and benefit from the incredible fortune we have here in Canada, We are lucky to have such a powerful and wonderful natural resource.
We can bury our head in the "oil sand" and pretend we are something we are not and destroy the oil industry or we can embrace it and provide wealth for our nation.
