Should there be more restrictions on the current process of purchasing a gun?

Yes, require strict background checks, psychological testing, and training, guns should only be owned by military personal only, but only if fit to own an assault rifle, the use of guns should only be authorized by high ranking officers as a last resort incase of an issued national security.
