At the same time, being qualified for a role is also extremely important. Diversity shouldn't be a priority over being qualified. You should not disqualify fully qualifying people from a role simply because they AREN'T women, for example- I think that in itself is discrimination. But, it's important that women and minorities that are qualified get equal opportunities and are being equally represented in the work force and that they feel as though they have a voice and value at their workplace, the the same opportunities for advancement as anyone else.
