This is very nuanced. It might not be safe to return, and many enter illegally because we do not have a robust system for asylum seekers. I think we should majorly up our investment in the Global South. We all know what leads to unstable economies, which leads to so many things and people who need help that end up trying to find a better, safer place to live.
