Should immigrants be deported if they commit a serious crime?

If the person has committed a serious crime that is more than a 15 year sentence they should be deported if and when it is safe to go back to their original country , because we cannot have them go back when it is not safe and put them in risk and we cannot have them here filling our cells and wasting our resources.
