There is a fine balance between police funding and community programs. There should be more training for police officers, and they do need to have firearms for viloent encounters. However, guns should NOT be the first choice for an officer unless provoked by another gun. There should also be more funding and support for community based programs, and there should be more accesibility to them.
I believe that police should be funded into training- allowing police to learn asl and educated more on citizens needs are a must into becoming a policeman.

No, increase funding for the training of police departments and community programs to create a more positive relationship between the police and the public.

Leave Funding as it is but change how the police system works and how they are trained.
No. A balance between funding both police services and social/community based programs should be pursued and implemented.
@8VST53W4yrs4Y
Yes, some funds should be redirected, but some funds should be used for better conflict management and de-escalation training
@8VLHD974yrs4Y

Yes, and make police training longer and racism \ mental health based.

Funding within the police department should remain, but use funding to educate and properly train officers to be better equipped in all situations, this includes; those with mental illnesses, disabilities and other means of intervention that is not physical.
