I'm in favour of the funding for non-policing forms of public safety, although I still feel as though there should be some form of police force, though I know it's harder to fund both

We should put more money into training police in higher crime city's and for lower put that money towards community based programs

If the the funds to the police can go towards retraining them to act in a more fair direct manner especially in light of the BLM movement then the funds should remain with the police, however if that will not be done then the funds should go to community outreach programs which aim to end some of the causes of crime.

Integrate social programs and medical staff with local police for relevant calls (eg. psych calls, ODs)

Police should be generally better trained for a longer period of time before becoming fully fledged
