No, keep current funding, but make sure the funding does not go towards militarizing the police.

Keep funding the same, increase funding for police training especially in higher crime rate communities and replace police with unarmed community based responders for non-violent calls

 @8Q5NGWK from Wisconsin  answered…4yrs4Y

Lower funding for police departments and redirect the difference to community based programs.

The police system must be reformed and have subdivisions that deal in community and social based issues.

No, put the current funding toward better mental health services and better police training.

 @8GGZQTR from Alabama  answered…5yrs5Y

There should not be a significant amount of funding, but just enough for the police to do their job and nothing more

I don’t think that defunding the police is the right choice but I think the should follow the same rules a regular citizen does and should go through more years of training.

 @8P9CLBG from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

Only take so much of the money from the police. They still need a pay check.

 @8THH6VK from Georgia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, replace police with unarmed community based responders for non-violent calls/emergencies, and abolish the police.

 @8W9KX2R from Idaho  answered…4yrs4Y

I think we need to train to understand people and increase them where they are needed most in certain parts of the U.S

 @8XFNL5B from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

This one is kind of tricky for me. I think that police should be trained more so they know what to do in more situations. Like what to do differently when a white cop is approaching a person of color. I do think that wee need more social community based programs though.
