There are two types of police, the good, and the corrupt. I think that the corrupted side is easy to see just because of body cams and how they handle things. Corrupt police is a big problem relating to a more common event even, George Floyd leaded to protests ,some peaceful, some violent. So just simply being a bad cop/person can lead to much bigger things and I think that those types of people shouldn't be funded but the good side should be funded.

Only if it has to do with helping homeless people or helping people in need

Reform the police and Redirect some of the funding to properly train police so that there are less “accidental” deaths.

Yes, replace police with unarmed community based responders for non-violent calls, they should have longer and more through training

 @8ZNYXZQ from Missouri  answered…3yrs3Y

I think that we should have unarmed community based responders for non-violent calls but also increase funding and training for police departments in higher crime rate communities and make it so you only can pull your guns in high violent situation for pulling someone over you should not have a gun dealing with armed robber yes a gun is needed

Some Police funding needs to be spent on Mental health services & or training the police to be a new breed of force that can handle deescalating events and no more lethal guns in hands of fools

I think they should increase funding for training. However, I don't think you should completely abolish the police.

I believe there should be a focus on psychology when police are in training. Along with extended time training hand-to-hand combat. To prepare officers for real life situations, the time for the academy needs to be extended. As well as funding for programs for social departments.

 @8PGYCMN from Wisconsin  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but police officers need better training for certain situautions. Officers need to be trained to handle different situations with more respect or less violent then needed

 @8VPPCB5 from Wisconsin  answered…4yrs4Y

No, instead they should have a longer and more effective training program to have more qualified officers

 @8WC55J3 from Tennessee  answered…4yrs4Y

I don't think the money should be redirected from the police but rather just more money to those programs.

 @8XFNL5B from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

This one is kind of tricky for me. I think that police should be trained more so they know what to do in more situations. Like what to do differently when a white cop is approaching a person of color. I do think that wee need more social community based programs though.
