The federal government should be proud of our natural resources and support this sector fully and stop preventing us from getting resources to market. Our federal government should fully support oil and natural gas and do everything they can to make Canada top player in this area. Other countries have made fools of Canada and Canadians by pitting us against each other in order to stop us from being a top oil producer in the world. Yes, we should. It's in our national interest to develop energy independence, as well as continue our power as a lead exporter of energy, whether it be in oil and gas, and natural resource development, or exporting renewable tech to other nations. It's also good for us to develop it as it can show the world the potential that it has.

i agree that subsidies are a good thing but i don't think tax payers should fund ventures that make corporations millions and millions of dollars without a payback option.
