Yes, I believe in maintaining a variable tax rate to control the influx of non résident investors. There should also be strict guidelines that they must follow in order to purchase property in Canada. The federal government also needs better statistics with regards to the real estate market.

No, If housing supply is too low due to non-residents, only citizens can own real estate.

 @8V45ST4from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Non residents should not have property in Canada unless they immigrate properly then receive legal citizenship after going through legal channels

There should be a tax after a certain amount of real estate is purchased (let's say for example 8 housing units)

 @8SZX386Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but housing issues cannot be solved by taxation alone. Government needs to support increasing the supply of affordable housing.

 @8SP4VS9from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

A 10% tax should be imposed on those who do not reside in Canada. Individuals who live in multiple properties in Canada while staying in Canada should not be affected.

Yes, there needs to be an annual tax on all property, it should be tiered like income tax so the higher the value the more you pay.

 @8DKJZYDConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…5yrs5Y

Foreign buyer tax is already 20%. I don't believe that they need to add more.
