Legal canadian firearms not responsible for overwhelming majority of firearms offences in Canada.

Restrictions and Regulatory systems ALREADY in place prior to prohibition regimes and were VERY robust and restrictive.

Prohibition will NOT make Canadians safer. It will make it more difficult for law enforcement and military to train an essential skill off-duty with personal firearms which is necessary to supplement minimum departmental standards. Firearms handling is a perishable skill, departmental annual requalifications are inadequate to maintain it. This governments position on firearms is putting and will continue to put lives at risk.

For example, with guns being legal and accessible in the States, we see that their gun-related crime rates are significantly higher, putting the general public at constant risk.

That the guns used in criminal are already illegal there, for harder laws won't do anything without enforcement

I agree that gun control laws will keep the number of school shootings at a very low level, but in cities with high crime rates, how will the police defend themselves when tasers are already prohibited?

Stricter gun control measures, supported by data and public opinion, have been shown to reduce gun violence, prevent mass shootings, and protect public safety without infringing on the rights of responsible gun owners. International comparisons highlight the effectiveness of such measures in countries with comprehensive firearm regulations.

There should be restrictions because nobody who isn’t in need of gun should have one and no one with malicious intent should be able to just buy one

we can clearly compare gun crimes in USA with gun crimes in Canada. Gun buying rules in USA is very less and it is easy to buy gun.

Children in US get killed while they are attending school because personal hatred is influenced on individual’s usage of gun.

There have been more than 470 mass shootings across the US so far this year, this is why we need to act now for Gun Control
