Yes, but there should be a limited amount of time they can access them, to encourage them to go clean
@9TMG6K47mos7MO
yes this will reduce drug overdose and death this should be treated as a health issue not criminal issue people need a place to go to get help and support
@9RC97PLNew Democratic9mos9MO
Yes, not only is this a mental health issue but the facility should be heavily geared towards funneling clients into rehabilitation.
@9X4H4HRNew Democratic6mos6MO
I feel like drug addiction should be treated as a health issue, but I don't think this is a good solution.
@9P8NRFMNew Democratic 10mos10MO
Yes, and make sure that consumption centres are properly managed to ensure that all individuals (whether employees or citizens with addictions) feel that they are safe. Drug addictions should be treated with the same respect as mental health conditions & be provided with similar types of care/education services.
@9FKJDJTNew Democratic2yrs2Y
Yes, but encourage using less and less every time, until they are sober.
@95SJWGRNew Democratic3yrs3Y
Only under conditions of medical supervision if agreed to a rehabilitation program. Tax the rich increase on addictions. Government makes enough tax on addictions (lottery, cigarettes, vaping products, sugary drinks, cannabis, recyclables, electronics, tires, etc.)
@927WXT6New Democratic3yrs3Y
not enough info on this topic.
@8YZMY5Z3yrs3Y
No, drug addicts should not be criminals and should receive help from medical professionals but should not be permitted to use drugs
@8YV757X3yrs3Y
yes they should be able to have a safe haven as long as it is not near a school or elderly home. it needs to be built somewhere so that everyone is safe.
@8YQGHTTNew Democratic3yrs3Y
Depend on where they are

legalize drugs and create programs for people to feel connacted.
this will only cause my long term problems, this will allow drug users to feel that it is okay to do drugs if their is a place for it, i think there should be a place that evaluates someone on drugs and allows them to observe the way he/she reacts. giving them a shelter to detox, with someone by their bedside, then their should be an addiction anonymous group that allows people to talk about their experience on drugs and whether or not it had a positive or negative outcome. their should be a place that allows someone to heal, using illegal drugs to me doesn't feel like it should be a cri… Read more

Yes, but it should be away from schools and towns or anywhere there is kids
@8V3HPBLNew Democratic4yrs4Y
Yes, drug use should be treated as a health issue, but higher the funding for rehabilitation centers. The priority should be rehab centers first.
@8V2FSHR4yrs4Y
No, use the money to create more support programs to help addicts get help and off drugs
@8V28JMZNew Democratic4yrs4Y
Yes, but sobriety should be encouraged, other activities should be available to reduce use, and amount given should be monitored.
@8TYWNDPNew Democratic4yrs4Y
Unfortunately these don't seem to work. Need more access to rehab
Yes, have the medical professionals help them overcome addiction
@8TVCFC8New Democratic4yrs4Y
Rather use the money for better and more treatment programs mandatory treatment
@8TFVW57New Democratic4yrs4Y
Yes, in addition to adding social services to assist them with basic services such as nutrition, housing, counselling, drug treatment, etc.
@8T4W3894yrs4Y
Yes, during the weaning-off process until they are able to be clean and not use again.
@8RZM9TFNew Democratic4yrs4Y
There shouldn't be a need for these safe havens, because everywhere should be a safe haven. Drugs should not be illegal at all, and drug abuse or addiction should be treated as a medical issue and not a criminal one.
@8QFCQGTNew Democratic4yrs4Y
Yes, and these facilities should provide a safe supply of alternative drugs.
@8PKQHNC4yrs4Y
Create "safe havens" for people to go to where they won't be arrested or judged and also provide care and resources to help them overcome such problems
@adfafjNew Democratic4yrs4Y
relegated to certain areas. away from schools, parks etc
@9BJ887SNew Democratic2yrs2Y

@99JRKDXNew Democratic2yrs2Y
Yes but reduce the doce every time so they get better and don’t do drugs anymore
@99HZCMTNew Democratic2yrs2Y
yes but i also think it should focus more on rehabilitation. only no if it decreases spending on rehab programs and no if itll make addictions worse.
@99BZ226New Democratic2yrs2Y
Mixed between safe havens and rehab programs
@997CMSM2yrs2Y
Yes, drug abuse should be treated as a class issue, not a criminal issue.
@982MQGM2yrs2Y
yes but only if they also receive help in overcoming addiction such as access to adiction meetings
@8WHRFVNNew Democratic4yrs4Y
Yes, but make them similar to rehabilitation centers.
@8V76GNDNew Democratic4yrs4Y
Supporting safe drug use for addicts should be seen as part of rehab, and collaboration here can increase addict opportunities for self sufficiency and reintegration into safe and caring social networks. We now have world models that support this approach and demonstrate the success of this approach. In Canada, Dr. Gabor Mate is a leader in this approach, and we should take advantage of the results we have seen with his work to build appropriate resources for dealing with addictions.
