All parties should be given the exact same amount of money every election cycle to promote their agenda. Winning because you have the most money to sell yourself is undemocratic.

Yes, but all political parties must receive the same amount, and there should be more restrictions and transparency on how they spend it. The amount they receive should also be greatly reduced.

Only to provide equal campaigning opportunities, with strict oversight to ensure that the funds are used for that and nothing else. This would ideally be paired with barring donations to political parties from businesses in any form.

only if everyone gets the same amount of money and it is used ONLY for campaign purposes

Election funding should only come from government money, based on party membership. Private contributions should be prohibited.

Political funding should be spread evenly from all donations across the board to certified parties.

 @8V3FZKGNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, as long as every party receives the same and they don’t receive private funding

 @Canadian1from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

All parties should receive the same small amount funding- and the same debate or on air time, including non popular parties that are relatively unfamiliar to the general public. All platforms NEED to be heard in order to get votes. It has been too uneven, which is why we always have the same leaders with large percentile of votes. Time to change this!

 @8TY2F6Hfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

New unknown parties should have introductions to the public, rather than always only allowing three main parties to run. We need more and better options

 @8SJXC3VNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Candidates under the poverty line should have the option to run. The government should assist do lower income voices can be heard.

 @8KLHHQYfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, abolish political parties and seat MPs and Senators according to their political beliefs.

 @92JJNYMfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, they should each receive the same amount based on how many ridings they have a candidate running in. Additionally, they should not be allowed to receive any money from private donors, unions, or corporations.

I think each party should have government funding, but not be allowed to exceed that amount so that they all have the same opportunities as each other.

Yes, by directly funding parties from the government, this allows for less influence from pundits and corruption due to politicians being guaranteed their own security.

Yes, and that should be their only funding, with restrictions and transparency on how money is spent.

 @8QPX6WJfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Party funding should ONLY come from the federal government to ensure money is not a factor in elections.

No, we should abolish political parties and require MPs, MPPs and City/Town Councilors to be non-partisan, turn them into "Political Ideology Endorsement Groups" instead.
