They shall be held in prison for longer but unless they have there Canadian citizen ship they will serve the canadian sentence for that crime

 @9K3F9YCConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but after they have served their sentence and if they have good behaviour it can be reconsidered with community service.

 @9FDLWSLConservativefrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

No, depending how serious they had one chance and failed they should be executed

 @9DH5CGJConservativefrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9V7JKBZConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…7mos7MO

Only if they are here on a permit, if they have Permanent Residence then they should be treated the way any citizen would

 @9T64K8RConservativefrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, if it is safe for them to return to their country. And no, if they have entered Canada illegally and fi they committed the crime in their original country.

 @9SZ2Z7PConservativefrom Alberta  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, but only if the crime is serious enough(such as terrorism), and after a investigation of the criminal has been done.

 @9KJZXZDConservativefrom Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

It depends on what crime they commit. For example, bio-terrorism should be a serious crime which is deportable to some extent. But you don't just deports somebody for stealing 3 packets of jolly ranchers. Also, how long have they lived in this country; a year, 16 years, are they legal citizens? Etc.

 @9BMDJJNConservativefrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes then put in prison in their original country to reduce taxes For canada

 @964XZRFConservativefrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @95SHK28Conservativefrom Saskatchewan  answered…3yrs3Y

I think no because getting deported might be what the criminal want because it's possible they will recieve protection when they go there it also depends on what kind and how serious the crime it is

 @92HC96HConservativefrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

No, only if they have been in the country for less then 5 years or if it is a serious crime that harmed another citizen

 @8ZBPNF5Conservativefrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8XNXJXMConservativefrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

No, they should just go to jail in the country that they are residing in.

 @8VMCKF9Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but on a case by case scenario. There should be no hard rule governing the line on who goes and who stays (and only if it safe).

 @8VM4PZCConservativefrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VCTPNJConservativefrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

They should face our federal law system and serve our punishment, they should be deported if they entered illegally.

 @8V544GGConservativefrom Northwest Territories  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes! They should be sent back to their home country if they’ve committed ANY type of crime. Why is this even a question?!?!

 @8V2WM4KConservativefrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

They should be thrown in jail forever, the same as any other criminal that commits a serious crime such as rape (serious and life-altering to the victim) or murder (except in the case of self-defense, such as a woman who is being domestically abused. They should be given a medal.).

They can stay in the country but just in jail or hospital of some sort.

 @8TJ7RB6Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8T7H4F5Conservativefrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

It depends on the reason why they had to fight back like getting attacked or somewhat

 @8T7FJFSConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

It all depends how serious if it is something such a murder then yes but if it is something like B and E then no

 @8RMXG28Conservativefrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QYHCZ9Conservativefrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QGQGJKConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, Because they should be put through our justice system if they commited a crime in Canada.

 @8QCHD32Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8PRBHSXConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

They should be sent to remote locations in northern Canada and left there so they can’t realistically return to Canadian society

 @8PHYR94Conservativefrom Manitoba  answered…4yrs4Y

Assuming they are NOT Canadian citizens, yes after they have served their sentence.

 @8NW3K9HConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

yes, as long as it is safe for them to return to their country. if it is not safe then they will have to serve their sentence in the country they immigrated to and once they're done serving they will return back to their country if it is safe to do so.

 @9D35JBQConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only if the crime has resulted in a horrible suffering economically or at the expense of someone

 @98ZSBHNConservativefrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

If they have committed a serious crime within Canada they should be deported immediately including their family.

 @97T4JZCConservativefrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, depending on if they entered illegally or depending on how serious the crime is. (Felony, financial, violent or sexual crimes)

 @97G8X3RConservativefrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

yes, after they finish serving their sentence and they are not citizens.

 @96SPRLYConservativefrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

It would depend on just how serious the crime was if their country was safe and they committed murder I would say yes

 @8Z4YW8SConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

only if they are aware of what they did. if not, then give them leniency.

 @8VKXN9KConservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

yes if it is a serious enough crime and is going to become an issue if they do not end up going back.
