I think we should give more funds to improve their communities and put some funding into assistance programs

 @9JB99CVfrom Saskatchewan  answered…1yr1Y

no cause all lives are precious. instead use that money to take care of the child and the goverment should provide funds for the upkeep of the child.

 @9H9B77Jfrom Saskatchewan  answered…1yr1Y

I feel that rather than spendning so much tax payers money, the government and indeigenous people should come to an agreement, instead of treating them like theyre different, include them. The government should still pay them just not so it hurts other people finacially.

 @9GB6TRPfrom Saskatchewan  answered…1yr1Y

Allocated funds should be given in terms of reoperations and support based on regulations in their life, ie. Insurance.

 @9NXB22Vfrom Saskatchewan  answered…10mos10MO

no because do you see most of them getting jobs im not trying to be racist or anything but most people who own houses are paying for them just to spend on drugs

 @9MJ49G9Liberalfrom Saskatchewan  answered…11mos11MO

Yes, although I believe that some of the funding should be put towards the forms of education, training and social programs, with only a part of the money going to monetary. I also believe that Metis, and non-status treaties people should also benefit from this funding as well.

 @9BNFYP7Liberalfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes AND offer assistance in other forms (education, training, social programs)

 @99WWWF5from Saskatchewan  answered…2yrs2Y

I do not believe that the aboriginal people should get more funds as the community is starting to get dependent on the government, which is not good for Canadian government and even the aboriginal people.

 @95WSYH7from Saskatchewan  answered…3yrs3Y

There is considerable disparity amongst First Nations in terms of readiness to self govern, however many do have the human and social resources to succeed, making it beneficial for those groups to form a mutually agreeable method of development, and sharing to level the playing field to achieve success without the penalty of widening inequality. Non native Canada should partner financially but then step back.

 @8Z6P9KQfrom Saskatchewan  answered…3yrs3Y

All aboriginals, relatives, and all involved should meet, discuss a 1-time reparations fee, and implement either a lump sum or payment plan so as to do away with this issue, since it’s causing more harm and hatred then it’s causing good.

 @8Z6GK3Sfrom Saskatchewan  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YXSH9Pfrom Saskatchewan  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, government should lend funds to those communities that need it the most starting with those peoples basic needs. Improve funding for education, training, social programs, and raise wages for aboriginals as an incentive to work. Remove the welfare program

 @8YJNJPCfrom Saskatchewan  answered…3yrs3Y

No, The government needs to hold there treaty obligations to todays standard and treat reserves like any other city help get clean water and power etc.

 @8YJ7WXZConservativefrom Saskatchewan  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, The treaties need to be honoured and promises need to be kept up to todays standard of living rather than what is literally on the treaty.

 @8VQ4XBKConservativefrom Saskatchewan  answered…4yrs4Y

why are we using taxpayer money on people who are going to use it on something like a toy why dont we use it on military funding

 @8VPWW9Pfrom Saskatchewan  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but as with any independent agency receiving taxpayer funding, they should be willing to provide data as to who is benefitting and how.

They have every possible chance to flourish in this nation and more. They don’t need more money. It only makes the problem worse and you damn well know it. Your imprisoning them ever longer and showing them a total lack of respect. They are perfectly capable human beings and just need to be educated in a certain way. Throw a rich dad poor dad book at them watch them flourish. Educate your people and yourselves in finance and you are soon to be very wealthy. Enough hand outs!!!

 @8R6MFT7from Saskatchewan  answered…4yrs4Y

I really don’t know much about this topic, so I don’t feel with the freedom to talk about it

 @8R2VTTRfrom Saskatchewan  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes. And land. But each place has their own issues and require different responses. First Nations, Metis, and the Inu should be treated as an autonomous government in partnership with federal government.. making up Canada.

 @8QTHK6Wfrom Saskatchewan  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but, government should focus more on offering assistance in the form of better and free education, training in all regards, and social programs.

No, natives are just as equal as rights and its not fair how they get discounts on everything

 @8DYP3GQfrom Saskatchewan  answered…5yrs5Y

 @9C7VHL9Conservativefrom Saskatchewan  answered…2yrs2Y

No, they are being given enough. Right now, the Canadian government is giving away millions, even possibly billions to first nations and thing is, the Europeans and tons of other countries before just wiped other tribes and nations off of the face of the earth which the first nations were lucky that it did not happen to them. I think that we should be treated equally.

 @9BSH3PZfrom Saskatchewan  answered…2yrs2Y

no but only so they can be equal as they like maybe a few more dollars but no more

 @97Z6SWZfrom Saskatchewan  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but their right to self-determination should be supported, including the return of all unceded territory.

 @966SPTPfrom Saskatchewan  answered…2yrs2Y

 @8VJ8393from Saskatchewan  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but more detailed criterion for spending should be set in place, with a stronger emphasis on programs that will improve their quality of life.

 @B4CTWZSfrom Saskatchewan  answered…2 days2D

Yes but funding should be based on protection of families to stay together. Prevention of addiction and sexual abuse.
