Yes they should be compensated. The trauma and damage has been passed down through generations. There should be a base compensation and coverage of school, medical, rehab, therapy Ect. I do also think that they should also do a better job trying to Intergrate into society

 @9VF4YNBNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, and we give their land back along with assistance in the form of education, training and social programs so they can live on their land.

 @9LW6VNFfrom Ontario  answered…11mos11MO

Canadian Aboriginals should be given land back. Instead of forcing them to integrate into Canadian society, we should see them as neighbours. If Canadians and Aboriginals worked together, it would be easier for both parties to navigate the system. Some of the funds should be directed towards proper living conditions, education, and training.

Yes, but we should also offer more assistance in the form of education, training, and social programs.

 @8VLCDPSfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No. They should get all of their land back that was taken with a promise of being returned. They should not be able to use their tax exempt outside of the reserve, and they should be forced to pay back any monies that were given to them for projects that they have just destroyed.

 @8VDZG7Qfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

They aren’t getting much anyway and the rhetoric is harmful also yes yes yes we should give land back

 @8VCV2P6from Newfoundland  answered…4yrs4Y

Release ALREADY OWNED funds to Indigenous Organizations that show fiscal responsibility, allow them to self-govern.

 @8V8G7TFfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but funds should go to communities. Every community should have safe drinking water.

 @8V4WT8Ffrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but they should be receiving help with issues like no clean water and extreme prices in the north.

 @8TXCQPHfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Instead of giving them money, we should make sure they have clean water, suitable grocery options, and all the same things someone non-indigenous had

 @8TTD28Qfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

I think they should receive clean water, funding for therapy, schooling, food, etc. But Chiefs should allocate that money fairly to everyone in their communities

 @8SZB62Gfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

I think that the government should listen to what they are saying is fair for the past

 @8QWVC4Lfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, and the government should give them their land back as well as offer more assistance in the form of education, training, counselling, rehabilitation, etc

 @aaliyahvNew Democraticfrom New Brunswick  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, and the government should give them their land back. Also, we should offer assistance in the form of education, training and social programs, and abolish the Indian Act.

 @8JV5RYNNew Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but in the form of education, training and social programs. As well as funding for public education of why we are providing the funding and to help with systematic racism in our country towards our Aboriginal community.
