The most commonly provided argument is that if we raise taxes on corporations and remove their loopholes, that they will simply take their business elsewhere. Production has been outsourced to countries with less strict labour regulations and worse wages (and therefore lower production costs) for decades as is, even with the current loopholes in mind. This does and will happen either way, and is effectively irrelevant to the conversation.
