Should Canada raise taxes on the rich?
Australia currently has a progressive tax system whereby high income earners pay a higher percentage of tax than low income tax. A more progressive income tax system has been proposed as a tool towards reducing wealth inequality.

Can you imagine a future where taxes have minimized social inequality? What does it look like?

Taxes go to better Bertie funding community social programs

It would result in us all being poor. No one would want to work hard if they knew they had the same end result as everyone else
I think more taxes taken from rich people should go to helping the economy and be used for public transport, homeless shelters or public healthcare.

everyone would have a home to live in, no one would be crying about it being to expensive. etc..

Do you think a society is healthier when its richest citizens pay significantly more taxes than others?
@carsonmyers 7mos7MO
I think society is healthier when everyone's needs are met and they have the ability to lead fulfilling and enjoyable lives. If income tax is an (imperfect) way of pursuing that goal, then yes; but raising taxes on the rich is insufficient. A society with a large wealth gap is fundamentally unhealthy in the first place, regardless of its tax policy.
