there shouldnt be a tax on your paycheck. we pay tax on everything we purchase so by taxing the paycheck then taxing what we pay after we get our check we pay more in taxes then we receive .

 @9ZCXM5Yfrom Alberta  answered…6mos6MO

Lower income tax on the middle and lower class raise income tax on people who make more than a million and raise income tax on billion and million dollar corporations, abolish all tax loopholes for the rich and corporations.

 @9F4F8G8from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and remove any possible loopholes that are currently being used or could be used by large corporations

Increase taxes on the people who have most of Canadas wealth. the top 3% of the population has the most wealth.

 @B4DZBPSfrom Alberta  answered…3wks3W

Yes, increase corporation taxes, add a land value tax and reduce taxes for small businesses and individuals on middle to lower incomes

 @B4DLN6Zfrom Alberta  answered…3wks3W

A consumption tax or luxury should be applied to non essential factors. Anything purchased should be viewed via need vs want. rough example. We all may need a frying pan but we don't need bluetooth connected frying pans. We may need clothing but we don't need Guchi socks.

 @B49LKNYfrom Alberta  answered…4wks4W

they should eradicate tax loopholes, and tax the rich more, however lowering the taxes our blue collar workers pay, because we keep the lights on and the food in the stomachs of the entire country

 @B47KN6Sfrom Alberta  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, raise income taxes and disallow/remove any tax loopholes for the rich, and for large corporations.

 @B47GS39from Alberta  answered…1mo1MO

No, everyone should have lower tax because the poor cannot afford and the rich could become less wealthy

 @B445WWQfrom Alberta  answered…1mo1MO

2 options either lower income don't pay tax only rich and raise tax on rich or no taxes at all to anyone

 @B445BPHConservativefrom Alberta  answered…1mo1MO

I think it depends on how rich the person is, if they make more than average but would be really impacted by a tax increase than I think not but someone who has millions and would hardly notice a change seems fair.

 @B43QV9Mfrom Alberta  answered…1mo1MO

Yes by an order of magnitude, remove most loop holes. Also increase taxes on large corporations while reducing taxes for small businesses

 @B286ZK4New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4mos4MO

Taxes should be proportional to your net worth (or wealth for those who use debt as a way to lower income), including any non liquid funds/assets, so corporations/Individuals cannot use the current loopholes to lower their taxes.

 @9YNQFHTNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…6mos6MO

Adjust the income tax rate appropriately and remove all existing tax loopholes for large corporations and the “super rich”.

 @9XCCXXJfrom Alberta  answered…6mos6MO

No, I think all the taxes that we pay should all be the same amount that everyone else pays for taxes

 @9X9LXM6from Alberta  answered…6mos6MO

it doesnt matter what you get payed, you pay the same taxes and live in esentially the same area. people shouldnt be rewarded with lower taxes for making bad choices when they were younger.

 @B4R2GP7from Alberta  answered…1wk1W

Lower taxes on middle and lower class, increase on those that make more than 1 mil; and abolish most loopholes on major corporations and increase what they pay.

 @B4P4WM8from Alberta  answered…2wks2W

The rich have money to pay the accountants to plan best for lower taxes, this will just result in the middle class paying more

 @B2Y4YCBConservativefrom Alberta  answered…2mos2MO

the overall tax for higher-income persons should be reduced as they work harder for that money and thus they should not be paying more taxes to the poor people who don't work as hard for there money.

 @B2V8N8Pfrom Alberta  answered…3mos3MO

you can keep it mostly the same but they need to account for the increase interest when considering taxes

 @9ZZ37MKConservativefrom Alberta  answered…5mos5MO

No, why should the rich be punished for being successful? It just reduces incentives for business owners and large corporations to make jobs and make growth

 @9TMG6K4from Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

people shouldnt have to pay for having money but if someone is strugiling with money the government should help them whitch would intail the government needing more money

 @9L5R7PFfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Simplify the current tax system by: restructuring the scale to make the 2% and corporations pay more, remove existing loopholes and rebates. Automate tax returns like many countries already do, remove tax based benefits. If you remove all these deductions, rebates, and loopholes that the very rich and corporations most benefit from, then both a fair wage and fair tax rate will be revealed without wasting taxpayer money on processing an unnecessarily complex tax return. There should only be GST on luxury items. There should be some limits on corporate profit or requirements for ratios at which employees must receive higher compensation.

 @9KZ9LTCConservativefrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, the more money you make, the more taxes you should pay to make up for people unable to pay such high taxes with a low income. So poor people should have lowered taxes and richer people should have higher taxes.

 @9JS8GNHfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

You shouldn't just be allowed to raise tax rates on richer people due to wealth. they worked to get to where they are.

 @9JQ9XHCfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

i believe it should be relooked and made into a fair tax bracket for everyone and there circumstances

 @9JBKCQLfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

No, the carbon tax, income tax and overall taxes for business should all be changed and reduced for everyone.

 @9H8BM7Bfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Lower the tax rate and remove tax loopholes for large corporations, and tax farmers after business expenses

 @9H6GJSNfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Do it reasonably and not take so much money from them as there are enough wealthy individuals in the country that if you do the math if you take a reasonable amount of taxes from all of them, the country would still benefit.

 @9GQHY3BPeople’sfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

sliding scale tax for every bracket. mainly reform spending so that tax relief for all can be achieved

 @9GH2KFFfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Raise taxes on the poor and lower taxes on the rich. Poor people don't make as much money because they don't contribute as much to society, so we deserve the money they have.

 @9FTWKRRfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

All taxes the same, there's many people in Canada so at the end of the day tax money will still be going to you

 @9FNB6SCfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Lower taxes for all and take away carbon tax and other taxes that are unnecessary

 @9FMPRJXfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9FMPCV8from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

 @B39XQHFfrom Alberta  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, I think we should taxe the rich but only those who are generationally wealthy and didn't work for thee money, while small businesses that made it big should get to keep there money and not be taxed as much because they worked for all of it.

 @9TZHPV5from Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

Remove all taxes and make Canada a tax heaven for the rich of the world and any big foreign business will want to invest in canda

 @9RTSMX5from Alberta  answered…9mos9MO

The government really needs to tax the middle-class less. If that means raising taxes on the rich, so be it.

 @9FL5NK3from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

some places in canada need a lower tax bracket and others don't and remove loopholes for company's.

Massively increase the taxes among the rich. Close the tax loopholes; ie. Limit philanthropy etc. Lower the taxes for the working classes.

 @9STKB35from Alberta  answered…8mos8MO

No because you work hard to do what you do or be who you are and they should be able to take more but they can't take to little because then we would all have more problems

 @9SSDMCQConservativefrom Alberta  answered…8mos8MO

impose higher taxes on the ultra-rich, not on the upper or upper-middle class. Tax old money and multi-billionaires

 @9D2TKFSfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Raise taxes on large corporations and billionaires, not individual millionaires

 @9CHX2V2from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Canada should explore extensive reforms to the Tax Code which was last amended in 1967.

 @9CDHYYMfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Lower taxes for the poor and individuals, raise taxes for large corporations and remove existing tax loopholes

 @9C4XQMMfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

No, raising taxes on those with successful careers (the rich) only makes those folks contemplate getting jobs in a lower tax brackets because they see most of their paycheque go to the government. Since Covid, citizens are starting to realize that there is more to life than working for Pennie’s on the dollar. Which in turn creates worker shortages in some of Canada’s biggest industries.

 @9B2X2T9from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

No. If they work for their money and are deserving of it, taxes should not be increased on them.

 @98XLDNPfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

 @942H7BWfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

A little, Don't make the rich too rich but also don't make them poor. Also lower taxes on the poor

 @92M8FFHfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Increase corporate taxes by a modest amount, reduce on lower brackets, increase by a modest amount on the rich and close loopholes for the rich and corporations to hide money made in the country outside the country.

 @8YTHX5Qfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but keep is balance, Raise taxes on the rich, but also lowering taxes on the poor.

 @8YRVMRZfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

no, if the government wants to tax people, the tax payers should be providing the same amount of funds, whether they are rich or not. The economically stable individuals should not have to pay more than anyone else, because the people with lower income are then being supported by the higher uppers and not paying as much into tax.

 @8YCQ7HQfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

just use percentages like charge 5 percent as an example for all income tax that way it goes up and takes ''more money'' from those who make more

 @8YCQ2VPNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes. The rich should be taxed according to their excess money and loopholes for large corporations must be removed.

 @8YCLPYYLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8Y8FRBDNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, as it is ridiculous to require populaces of lower financial standards to be the backbone of the rich and government financial markets

 @8WQXD8Kfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

taxes should be the same for everyone. and they should depend on how much income the majority of the country makes

 @8WGLX74from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but raise for the super rich I.e multimillionaires and billionaires and corporations making the equivalent

 @8VX4GH4New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only if they make over a certain amount, like 1 million dollars

 @8VW3BPWfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

simplify taxation. end tax avoidance schemes and shelters. have government own monopolistic, high profit, nationally critical industries to subsidize government income.

 @8VVVCQLfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Some of those people earned there money so I think we should raise them a little but not a lot

 @8VRZP84from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

It depends on what qualifies as rich. In the past few years, our family has not qualified for breaks in child care or child tax...we are nowhere near rich, but I guess considered somewhat wealthy according to whoever made the requirement up; it's ridiculous. We are middle class and also struggle.

 @8VRLBK4Liberalfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only the ridiculously rich people ; like big corporations owners. Or an alternative could be just paying their workers more

 @8VRC37Pfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Determine the tax to the amount of wealthy people in each province. See what the citizens prefer and prevent any loopholes. Preferably make the tax on rich a tiny bit more strict.
