nuclear energy is clean, effective, cost-efficient, and safer. For Canada to grow it will need energy and as of present Nuclear is our best option
@B47DTZV1wk1W
It is one of the most environment friendly options for power. Nuclear waste is as safe as can be. Furthuring nuclear engineering can advance our understanding. The risk of a meltdown is extremely low as long protocols are being followed. Can generate lots of energy for the population.
@B457NDS2wks2W
Fine…. Keep burning coal. Keep dreaming thinking wind and solar will be enough… I just think Nuclear is the correct answer. Technology has improved incredibly with new Nuclear ideas. It is our only hope.
@B2QRYYC2mos2MO
1.5 percent of all nuclear power plants ever built have melted down to some degree. Meltdowns have been either catastrophic (Chernobyl, Ukraine in 1986; three reactors at Fukushima Dai-ichi, Japan in 2011) or damaging (Three-Mile Island in 1979; Saint-Laurent France in 1980). The nuclear industry has proposed new reactor designs that they suggest are safer. Dont say do more reasearch i have although it is very unlikely for a Nuclear catastrophic event there is still that chance were things could go very bad.
@B2FYGHS3mos3MO
The pollution, toxic chemicals, radioactive waste and limited fuel supply that affects people’s lives and health are just dew reasons to say No to Nuclear Energy.
that we need a clean way to make energy and with the new technologies it is much safer and that we can end most of the air pollution with it
@B29TS3B3mos3MO
I believe nuclear energy is highly reliable, produces low carbon emissions, and is crucial for meeting sustainable energy demands. It provides a stable and continuous power supply, unlike solar and wind energy, which are weather-dependent and intermittent. Additionally, nuclear energy generates significantly fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil fuels, making it a key solution in addressing climate change.With advancements in modern nuclear technology, such as small modular reactors (SMRs) and improved safety standards, I have greater confidence in the safety and efficiency of nuclear energy. I believe nuclear power can complement renewable energy sources and play a vital role in achieving long-term energy sustainability and security.
@B23GQQX4mos4MO
Nuclear energy is extremely safe and all the waste is kept on site. Other energy souces dump all the waste into the atmosphere or water.
@9ZV7KNJ4mos4MO
When it comes to things destructive and devastating for the human race, nuclear energy, and devices are the single biggest problem and worry to the population because: of mutations/deformities of people and animals, the atmosphere getting messed up making it hard for people to breath, and lastly, when nuclear energy is used, whether that be a bomb or just radiation, it will kill everyone and everything it comes into contact with. An example is the Chernobyl Disaster.
@9NP5LZ910mos10MO
For every story born out of the nuclear fear of the Cold War, Ontario has had a running nuclear plant that has been clean and efficient for years and is a clear model on the possibilities of a future cleaner energy supply.
@9MLMD7R11mos11MO
Nuclear energy is a superior form of renewable energy there is low risk to people or the environment. Nuclear energy is the future its a sustainable form of energy unlike fossil fuels it does not prompt climate change and global warming it provides energy that lessens the waste going into our atmosphere.
@9MKF88V11mos11MO
People are only afraid of Nuclear Energy because of what happened in Chernobyl. Many countries rely on nuclear energy and emit much less carbon emissions than Canada.
@9LXT3F411mos11MO
As of now, Nuclear Energy is the most effective source of energy. This should continue and then slowly diminish as we create and find better renewable-energy methods.
@9K6LJNT1yr1Y
If i were to research how many people had severe injuries whilst on the job of a nuclear power plant it would be quite large as opposed work-related injuries on other jobs of energy powered.
@9HXH3FW1yr1Y
Nuclear Energy is a big reliable source of energy. We will one day run out of gas for our cars and machines, plus the carbon they produce are very bad. Nuclear energy sources can be safe with more research.
@9HQXYFKConservative1yr1Y
I believe we should increase military power but definitely not nuclear, because nuclear energy may destroy us and the world
@9H4Y24R1yr1Y
If Canada ends up in a situation where we are importing other resources and that country gets in war wee will be left with nothing then we will have to resort to nuclear energy.
@9GZS4M21yr1Y
Without the use of nuclear energy there would not be enough power to create alternative energy sources, we must rely on nuclear energy temporarily until conditions for more renewable energy sources are readily available
@9GRY65W1yr1Y
Nuclear accidents are the main thing people are afraid of. If you look at the numbers, nuclear accidents happen way less than other accidents. Nuclear also causes less deaths per unit of energy produced
@B398BP71mo1MO
Nuclear Energy, overall, is less deadly then fossil fuels, and less Space hungry then wind and solar. If we are to reduce carbon emissons, Nuclear must be a integral part of it.
@B36HQBJ1mo1MO
Nuclear energy is completely safe and currently our best source for green energy, the main reason people are against it is due to media portraying it in a negative light. This is because nuclear disasters of our past are caused by improper construction from soviet era communities and/or built in areas that they shouldn't have been built due to a high chance of natural disasters occurring.
@9FSCN3MConservative2yrs2Y
Nuclear Energy represents our best chance at efficient energy production without being reliant on Russia and minimizing emissions.
@9FRVPDR2yrs2Y
Nuclear energy is actually quite safe, past Nuclear accidents have been caused by neglect and bad reactor design.
@9FKGSNX2yrs2Y
nuclear bombs are very dangerous and should not be used since they only destroy the planet and nuclear
@9FJKVHP2yrs2Y
Nuclear is the cleanest and most efficient energy source we know. Solar and wind simply doesn't provide the level of energy required to sustain our way of life. Per capita, less people die from nuclear energy and related accidents compared to other forms of energy.
@B3DVFC91mo1MO
Nuclear Power does not only offer safe, clear reliable power; it also produces life saving medical isotopes.
It is a long term solution to switch from fossil fuels. Instead of looking for easy points and mock-solutions such as most green projects, we already know nuclear works, such as in France and Korea. A combination of nuclear energy and hydro is perhaps the best possible setup we can have. There is very minuscule waste involved. and accidents are overly exaggerated, ex fukushima and other major accidents happened due to natural disasters, and still no one died because of it. Even Chernobyl wasn’t because of dangers of nuclear energy itself, only due to human error and a low quality system of the Soviets.
@9GH4VMJ1yr1Y
Because the nuclear energy can end up exploding or leaking, which now means that toxic chemicals are in the air and end up causing an explosion or radiating the planet.
@9GGWHYS1yr1Y
It is sooo much better than pumping smog into the air. It’s also extremely efficient, and dispite Chernobyl exploding 45 years ago, nuclear meltdown are extremely unlikely.
@9GCWLKL1yr1Y
When there is an accient in any part of a Nucleer Energy Plant it could cause incident like the Chernobly Explosion and The Three Mile Island Incident.
@9G97DZL1yr1Y
you guys should agree with me because think about it if something happen a nuclear bobm could be set off and white out more than half the city
@9FWJ44Y1yr1Y
Nuclear Energy is one of the cleanest and most efficient sources of energy that modern technology can possibly produce. In fact, fossil and coal fuel has caused more deaths than nuclear power plants. I do acknowledge that nuclear power plants ,if gone wrong, can cause serious damage, but fossil and coal fuel causes much more damage regardless if something goes wrong. Coal and fossil power is simply more damaging than nuclear power. Coal and fossil waste are also produced more frequently than nuclear waste and has more lasting damage than nuclear waste.
Nuclear waste can be safely contained, buried, and loses its energy over time, rendering it nearly harmless. Coal and fossil waste cause long-lasting damage. A good example of the damage coal and fossil waste have created is climate change.
@9G9Z99F1yr1Y
Nuclear energy is efficient, safe, and could help us cut out fossil fuel usage. The only reason most people are afraid of using nuclear power plants is because of previous incidents caused by incompetency, faulty equipment, and outdated equipment. Nowadays they are managed very well and most incidents that have happened in the past are not repeatable.
