For myself as a gay man, I do not believe in denying the right for other other queer couples to adopt children, however I would have a difficult time in accepting this reality for myself, believing that a traditional family structure is much better suited to be raising children.

 @B2D7BVYConservativefrom Alberta  answered…3mos3MO

I feel this next generation will give the data to show if this should be ok or not as the children may have liked to have the opposite sex parent.

 @9X9M5ZVfrom Alberta  answered…6mos6MO

I feel like they can adopt the child, as long as the child is aware of all the hate and judgement that may come with it.

 @9956H8Mfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

No i don't think that two individuals of the same sex can raise a child of the opposite sex for example two men raising a girl there needs to be balance. Also the child being adopted would have no choice to either choose gay parents or straight ones

 @9TYNZJFfrom Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

You shouldn’t be able to ask a 17 year old this Not completing this should not be in the curriculum

 @9TQRW67from Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

yes as long as the the gay couple can prove a good understanding of how to parent a child and how it may affect the childs life having same sex parents

 @9LD8F4Qfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, as long as they’re not leftists. Only right wing homosexual couples can be trusted to not groom their children into the woke leftist cult.

 @9JWLDM6from Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

I think it is important but no because what about the kid they could be Muslim or another religion that doesn't include gay people in there community

 @9JVN2KLfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

As much as I support couples like this, a child needs a mother and a father to learn different aspects of life

 @9JT7MCBfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but cannot push a gender or pronouns onto their child from a young age, creating confusion for the child.

 @9GMVZJGfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

No, mother father family structure is best for a child and adoption agenies should prioritize straight couples over gay couples

 @9FQ2KXXfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes but there should be a quiz or a confirmation that they have the right needs for the child

 @9FLTG5Ffrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

I belive that it is okay for that but a child would be better with a mom and a dad in my opinion.

 @9FL3GD7from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Gay people are stopping the reproduction of a country, by making more people give up their right to make children. And i think this is inhuman and they should give up their right to make other children suffer, and ruin children's worldview and values.

 @9FDL5NRfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

No because i feel like the kid should be old enough to consent. A baby needs a mom and a dad.

 @9FB6SSPNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9F9XKL3Liberalfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

yes as long as the couple is able to meet all required fields and is able to support the child

 @9F9SPTHfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

I think that they could be aloud to but i believe that a mother and father figure is most important

 @9F86X47Liberalfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but they have to pass the background checks and ask the child if they are ok with being adopted my same sex couples.

 @9F86WSNfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

yes, they should be allowed with the same background check as straight couples but, the child should have a say in whether they actually want to stay with the homosexuals.

 @9F5KMPVfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

The gender of the parents adopting shouldn't matter. Single parents should be allowed to adopt to. Gay/ lesbian couples are just as good as parents as a man and woman. What matters is the child has a secure, stable and happy home.

 @9F4F77YConservativefrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

 @8VTTXCMfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Why are these even questions anymore? Yes gay couples should have the same rights as straight couples. For everything.

 @8FHVN9Zfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

I believe a father and mother family structure would be best but in Lou of said family a couple gays would due.

 @94XMTNCfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

no, they should not, I believe gay people should not be allowed to adopt as it creates a sense of abnormality towards the child and it may make the child feel uncomfortable.

 @93VRWCFfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, provided healthy role models of both sexes are available to the child.

 @92YKHH6from Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92QXYZVfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Any adopted parents should be screened no matter if they are same sex or not. It’s about the children

 @8VPX52Rfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, as long as they pass the same background checks as straight couples and as long as a birth family has say into whether the adoption family is gay or straight.

 @8VPPMR7from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

It should be up to the kid being adopted if they want to have same sex parents or a mom and a dad

 @8VJGX54from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but adoption agencies should have the choice to set their own policies, not set by government.

 @8VJD97Bfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Only if the child being adopted is gay and mature enough to deferentiate gay,male and female and has exepted his own sexual personality

 @8VF6MQ3from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

i fell the kids should get to choese if they go with any parson that wans to adopt them

 @8VDXDYDfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I don’t necessarily like the idea of gay couples having kids, but they should have the right to as human beings

 @8V254MVfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I believe that a son should at least have a father or a daughter should at least have a mother, whether it's 1 or 2. It's not a matter of having homosexual or heterosexual parents, it's a matter of the child having someone they can relate to.

 @8T7WKFJConservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SW7XRDfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, no matter the sexual orientation we are all human, and deserve the same rights.

 @8RR3K4Kfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Ive experienced this personally with my sister who went to a sperm bank so her and her wife could have a kid. I believe its fine to have a child, but there needs to be friends or family members or both sexes to provide influence. Addtionally, its fine to support if that child becomes lgbtq but I think its wrong to consistently push it on the child.

 @8RJSJ4Hfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, and I believe a mother and father family structure is for the child.

 @8R9YBHVfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

The fact that some people think loving someone of the same sex would make them an unfit parent is preposterous.

 @8R86RG7Conservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, as long as they pass background checks and they don't do things like give their children hormone blockers before the age of eighteen.

 @8QRPVMZfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

the child's mental and social well being should be considered as they might face bullying in their schools. So i think homophobia must be tackled to ensure the children live a stress free life.

 @8PGGHNFfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I believe two females should be more likely than two males neither male has motherly instinct. The woman in general is usually more adapted to this role.Men need to be monitored for a while.

 @8PDHK2Wfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8NH9YJWfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, with the understanding that the relationship is far more complicated due to the fact that its relatively a "new" concept and there with be many unforseen challenges.

 @8N6GLQ2from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

i think that a child needs a mom and a dad in their life but I also think they could be just fine with one of them

 @8MXN8VCfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Only if they are educated on possible issues the child will face because of it, such as bullying

 @8HYS3TCfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes but the biological parent should be aware if the couple is gay or straight.

 @8HWQNFJfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8GM2GVTfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

As long as they pass the check of being able to provide for the child .

 @8F78GDKfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

gay couples should not be allowed to adopt, considering they have messed up their life enough to be gay already, dont need to mess up the next generation

 @8D8S5H2from Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8CVX7WMfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

As long as they know how to take care of children and if they have a good background status I think its ok for them to adopt a kid

 @sarahg25from Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

I doesn't really affect me so I shouldn't have a voice in the matter but parents of straight couples should be given priority over younger children since they are probably adopting due to fertility issues and for the child's wellbeing in life he is less likely to be bullied.

 @8CH3X5Xfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8CB4F84from Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but churches and independent agencies should not be required to register them.

 @9ZYVMB5from Alberta  answered…5mos5MO

 @9CLTRM2from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only after going through the same processes as a straight couple, prioritising those who are infertile above all else.

 @9CBLDBYfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9C4Z6J4from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, this determination should be made on the basis of who has the ability and resources to care for the child.

 @9BVK497from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Like any parent/guardian they Must be mentally fit and financially capable

 @9BJW6RNfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

if they force their gayness and force the kids to not live life the way they want then they shouldn't adopt kids

 @99MR6J3from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but each couple should be judged independently on there ability to raise a child.

 @99DYBFYfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

 @996JHS7from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but if a straight couple that is fertile is wanting a child it should be given to them.

 @9958DJ5from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

I think a nurturing mother and providing and respecting father raise the best children.

 @98XL734from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

A gay couple is a couple either way. And the raising of a child in such an environment could expose them to things that would prepare them for the future and lead to happy, healthy life.

 @95ZFSD5from Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

No as some gay people may try certain things with the child as they age so It depends on who the person adopting acts around kids/ history.

 @95FFCJLfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

No because roughly 82% of sexual assault against minors is commited by gay individuals

 @8VMLP9Lfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but I still believe that a father and mother structure is the best for children.
