If the screening process is made harsher. it should be made harsher for all immigrants, not just muslims.

 @9F7X6S9from Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

I think that this rule should not exist because not all muslims are terrorists and this promotes discrimination against muslims who are innocent and trying to build a home and good environment for their families

 @9F8T99Tfrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

If you break it down to the bare bones of what your saying, it all just leads back to racism anyone could be a terrorist. It wouldn't be morally right to only screen one race of people and if you really want to screen people screen everyone.

Immigration should be halted temporarily, rather all immigration should be banned forever. There's only a limited amount of land, housing, good services to go around and increasing the number of people in Canada raises the demand and prices of everything. Therefore, if Canadians want the price of goods and services to keep going up then all immigration should be stopped.

No u should not cause maybe in their country there are lots of bad stuff happen and there moving to canada for a safer environment

 @9F7VW3Nfrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Islam isn’t a religion of terrorism. The world wars were started because of the Christians. I can’t say it was because of their religion, it was the people.

 @9F7VDWMfrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

It is racism because basing the bad people from a culture off their entire culture is racism and until the person is proven bad its only the rare few nobody has an entirely perfect race.

 @9F7FT86from Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

No, because the majority of Muslims are not terrorists and we should make stronger regulations on terrorists in general but labelling them as Muslim terrorists is fear-mongering and creates Islamaphobic tension/violence.

 @9F78B24from Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

They are not all terrorist, infact most are against the idea but still have to suffer the consequences

 @9F72NGVfrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Banning all immigration (mainly against Muslims) is discriminatory and though some people think its for Canada's safety, It isn't really and most immigrants just want safety or a fresh start.

 @9FJC72KNew Democraticfrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Its stupid considering the fact that 1) I'm Muslim and 2) anyone has the capability to commit a crime if they wanted to

 @9FBTBMBfrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

It’s just racist. No other ethnic group requires mandatory screening to immigrate somewhere, so it’s unfair that Muslim’s would have too

 @9FB5ZM9Libertarianfrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

While many believe that the government should be doing this, I however do not believe they should because many to come to Canada as refugees meaning their trying to better their lives for their family from different acts such as war, conflict or persecution. Many of these refugees being from Muslim descent and come from Muslim countries. Coming from this fact,if many Muslims have to wait for screening for approval many lives can be lost waiting for the approval to better their lives for their family. In conclusion, many muslims are not terrorist but instead the exact opposite.

 @9FFJFKMfrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Muslim immigrants should not be singled out and have a more strict screening process on them because other religions also have terrorist groups within them and if the government decides to improve their screening process they should increase it on all individuals.

 @9FFHXKGConservativefrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Being muslim or an immagrant isn't a stereotype, most times it shows commitment to their religion, government screening or not.

 @9F98NMJfrom Alberta  disagreed…2yrs2Y

that such a ban would be discriminatory and unconstitutional. The so-called "Muslim Ban" implemented by the Trump administration was met with legal challenges and court injunctions on the grounds that it constituted religious discrimination
. The Supreme Court allowed the ban to go into full effect while it was being litigated, but did not express any views about the merits of the ban and did not find or suggest that the ban is constitutional or compatible with immigration laws
. The ACLU and other organizations have been challenging the ban since its inception and have repeatedly…  Read more

Well, not EVERYONE is a terrorist, you have to understand that. And Canada has a strong Police system so we should automatically be able to defend against terrorists.
