Proponents argue that this strategy would bolster national security by minimizing the risk of potential terrorists entering the country. Enhanced screening processes, once implemented, would provide a more thorough assessment of applicants, reducing the likelihood of malicious actors gaining entry. Critics argue that such a policy might inadvertently promote discrimination by broadly categorizing individuals based on their nation of origin rather than specific, credible threat intelligence. It may strain diplomatic relations with the affected countries and potentially harm the perception of the nation enacting the ban, being seen as hostile or prejudiced towards certain international communities. Additionally, genuine refugees fleeing terrorism or persecution in their home countries might be unjustly denied safe haven.

no, but i think all immigration should be banned regardless pf their religious beliefs until Canada is in a better financial situation regarding our national debt

In the United States you could argue but here in Canada I don’t think we need to so my answer is No

No, but screening needs to be improved regardless
@8SYFJW24yrs4Y
no, but we should improve our screening

Again, the solution is not a simple one. There must be a way to improve our screening process with haste without having to ban immigrants from entering Canada; refugees especially. I would hope there is.
Refugees need a safe place to reside. For their sake, the Canadian government should strive to improve its screening process so refugees can be sifted through and accepted without worry.
The government of Canada needs to find a middle ground on this subject. It is irresponsible to ban immigrants from entering based on any non-violent characteristic. However, it is also irresponsible to allow entry without a thorough vetting process.
Canada has a responsibility to protect her citizens from terrorism just the same as protecting refugees from their native tyrannical governments.

We should let them in but keep close eyes for a month or so to make sure they fit in properly and no disruptions.
