Should Canada increase or decrease the amount of temporary work visas given to high-skilled immigrant workers?
Skilled temporary work visas are usually given to foreign scientists, engineers, programmers, architects, executives, and other positions or fields where demand outpaces supply. Most businesses argue that hiring skilled foreign workers allows them to competitively fill positions which are in high demand. Opponents argue that skilled immigrants decrease middle class wages and job tenure.

Increase for in-demand jobs and decrease for full ones, and with agreement to move to cities that need the workers

Decrease, take care of our country first. That what government officials are voted in to office for. To take care of the Canadians first at all cost.

I am satisfied with the current amout, but the government should provide more incentives to prepare canadian citizens for these jobs and make the process to obtain equivalences easier for immigrants & refugees

Keep the same but add politics to try to prioritize Canadians or boundaries for university studies in those fields.

Regardless, improving immigration rules, citizenship test, border control and accepting anyone who's not a criminal or a national threat, also imposing no limit amount of immigrants or legal residents would make this question irrelevant.

We should stop bringing foreign workers.
@8YYMTXP3yrs3Y
Increase, and don't allow them to be payed less for the same jobs

Increase the amount while prohibiting companies from taking advantage of this program to decrease wages
@8S93XWF4yrs4Y
Increase, but implement policies to ensure that companies are not taking advantage of this program
@8R96QB44yrs4Y
Increase, but the government should make sure the immigrants are payed pair wages.

Remove government from this. Government does not have the right to prevent someone from working.
