Most businesses argue that hiring skilled foreign workers allows them to competitively fill positions which are in high demand. Opponents argue that skilled immigrants decrease middle class wages and job tenure.

Increase, but I am concerned about immigrants being paid poorly and not having safe housing (as we saw was the case for temporary immigrant workers when there were many covid outbreaks in the insufficient housing offered by employers).
