Eliminate the program altogether and hold people responsible for the absence of skilled workers the failures of our bureaucracy have produced.Deal with resulting austerity, and change course so that we do not need to import the third world in the name of sustainability,.

Before increasing or decreasing the amount of temporary foreign workers, the government should enact policies to ensure fair treatment and compensation for workers and prohibit exploitation.

Increase TFWs in sectors with proven labor shortages (e.g., healthcare, skilled trades, agriculture) while ensuring Canadians get priority in other fields.

Improve pathways to permanent residency so TFWs can become long-term contributors to the economy.

Strengthen labor protections to prevent exploitation and ensure fair wages.

Encourage domestic worker training & fair wages so employers don’t rely solely on TFWs instead of improving conditions for Canadian workers.

Train more Canadians and prioritize Canadians when hiring. Do more to address the worker shortage within Canada using Canadians but use foreign temporary workers if necessary.

Neither, immediately extend permanent resident status to all non-status and temporary status workers in Canada

Considered individual cases, the need and if there are enough Canadian workers to fill positions

Decrease, we should invest in Canadians who are in the unemployment field.

 @8PJF9PZfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

The amount should be determined by the unemployment level experienced at the time. Putting Canadians to work first should be the priority

Regardless, the temporary foreign workers need to be better protected. Employers mistreat them and threaten to deport them if they report the mistreatment. They need to be aware of their rights and have options if their employers are abusive. This information and contact people need to be available in their langague.

Depends on the economy and Canada's current unemployment rate at that time.

Increase, because despite what some claim immigration actually helps our economy. But the Canadian government needs to establish a national identity that all Canadians can share to prevent tribalism among our various cultures.
