Should the government mandate that large tech companies share their algorithms with regulators?
As long as they are approved government officials and will be tried for treason if they reveal proprietary information. But to ensure safe tech, yes.

Should the government fund research into genetic engineering for disease prevention and treatment?
To the highest degree, this is an extremely important issue with keeping people alive and preventing possible biological warfare.
