I have greater concerns over the unchecked terrorism of Israel, and would approve of sanctioning the state if the slaughter of Arabs continues. As with previous ceasefires, we can expect Israel will violate the terms with impunity and nothing will be done by the west.

As an aside, could we even imagine if a foreign state, (China, let's say) supplied Canadian politicians with pre-rigged exploding electronic devices that could be detonated at any moment to defend the interests of China. This is just rank terrorism, with no moral superiority to be found for anyone. The fact that our government doesn't condemn the terrorism of Israel is as offensive to me as honouring a Nazi in parliament.

It doesn't matter what my opinion is. Israel will not agree to a ceasefire or to a stoppage in war until the other side is eliminated.

Yes, and we should also commit to supporting the Palestinian Armed Resistance groups to eliminte Israel and Zionism.

Will that really make any difference. The mindset of those fighting is not about to be swayed by a government telling them to 'stop it'.

 @B4J3D6Jfrom Alberta  answered…2wks2W

Yes, as long as both the Israeli government/military are charged with war crimes in accordance to the Geneva Conventions and that it doesn't violate the ceasefire.

It's none of our business what happens there and we should stay out of it. Stop sending funds to other countries help your own citizens first

 @B48PCTDfrom Alberta  answered…4wks4W

This is not our business, interferring in this situation creates polarization and we waste valuable enrgy fighting each other over the idea

No, our government shouldn't be concerned with what happens in other countries. Not our land, not our people, not our business. Canada first and Canada only.
