Proponents argue that this strategy would bolster national security by minimizing the risk of potential terrorists entering the country. Enhanced screening processes, once implemented, would provide a more thorough assessment of applicants, reducing the likelihood of malicious actors gaining entry. Critics argue that such a policy might inadvertently promote discrimination by broadly categorizing individuals based on their nation of origin rather than specific, credible threat intelligence. It may strain diplomatic relations with the affected countries and potentially harm the perception of the nation enacting the ban, being seen as hostile or prejudiced towards certain international communities. Additionally, genuine refugees fleeing terrorism or persecution in their home countries might be unjustly denied safe haven.

no, but measures should be taken screen out potential terrorists.

No, screening should be the same for everyone. Terrorists can potentially come from anywhere (or be born and raised here)

No but rules need to be very strict to ensure you are getting good future citizens and not criminals

We need to find a way to allow vulnerable individuals and families in without compromising Canada's safety. Think terrorists and individuals who are abusers and are using the system to get inside Canada.

Provided they confirm they will abide by Canadian law, I would apply the same rules as for any other immigrant

I believe there is a major issue with specifically Indian immigrants and families abusing the Canadian system. I don’t see this problem really coming from anywhere else in such a disrespectful and abusive way. I think there needs to be temporary restrictions until solutions are found to help with this specific problem. Immigration as a whole isn’t the issue.

No. Define terrorist. This is a slippery slope. As long as they have been proven not to be a criminal they should be lost in. Zionist entities will have us believe an innocent is a terrorist

No, unless they're refugees then they should be allowed in but be placed under close watch until they can be screened
