Yes, and make it a living wage

What about the people who have retired are are back in the work force? They all deserve fair wages and a chance to live comfortably

Raise minimum wage temporarily while making that publicly and widely known then work heavily on reducing and reverting inflation

 @9TJK9CMLiberalfrom British Columbia  answered…7mos7MO

it would be nice if they could raise it according to the living wage and inflation but its not sustainable if they do

 @8RY4JPNfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, we should remove minimum wage and intrude a Universal Basic Income (UBI)

 @9RBTF6JLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

No. Minimum wages should be adjusted based on regional living costs and should also be pegged to inflation.

 @94KHB92Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Make it a living wage, but it should be a local responsibility and each city should determine its minimum wage, with a federal minimum wage of 12$ an hour.

 @93CMGP7from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

YES but in doing so not mess up our economy more and NOT raise prices higher then they already are.

it should be on what type of work it is if its a fast food then it should be lower and if its a high labor work it should be 14 to 16 for minimum wage. if they increase it every year all the food prices would keep going higher and higher.

Since the cost of living varies by province, so should the minimum wage. However, it should be at least moving toward a living wage.

 @8VTPFRFLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

The transition from a minimum wage job to a higher paying one should be more accessible to people

 @8VL99TSLiberalfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Minimum wage adjusted for age, past the age of majority, living wage. Below, a reasonable wage.

 @8VJFV3XLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VGQKJSLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, provide tax incentives to companies willing to provide further training and experience for employees in order to get them more specialized or provide tax incentives to return to school.

 @8THJY4MLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Rise the federal minimum wage depending on where in Canada. (Raise the minimum wage in parts of Canada that have unaffordable housing)

 @8T3KK2VLiberalfrom Manitoba  answered…4yrs4Y

No, it should be provincally/ teritorrially mandated depending on cost of living, ex British Columbia should have a higher minimun wage that New brunswick.

 @8SYFJW2from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

It is the provincial minimum wage that needs to be raised--most federal employees are unionized so it is irrelevant

Yes, but it should be introduced very slowly to allow businesses to adapt. It should be adjusted every few years

 @8RTD98QLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, make it a living wage which is adjusted every year according to inflation

 @8QV67W9Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

they should implement an employer of last resort and have the program have a 15 dollar minimum wage within the program and abolish all other minimum wage laws

 @8QSP7FNLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Min wage is the lowest pay before being considered slave wage. Min wage should reflect the level of skill, intensity and commitment ask for. Franchise businesses for example; should not be paying employees with exception of low intensity jobs like Walmart greeter.

Minimum wage should be how many years you’ve worked there for and change every year or two

 @8PF7HJ6from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8HQLQM5Liberalfrom British Columbia  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but existing wages above minimum wage should also increase accordingly, before you know it you no longer are making a wage above minimum wage anymore.

 @8H6VJMLLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but the addition should be subsidized by the government so small businesses can still afford to pay its employees

 @8D6TNKWLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

Minimum wage should be determined by situation, whether it be needing income for raising a family, or an after school part-time job. There should be different options for minimum wage.

 @9CTF5NWLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes but within reason. Companies can't afford to pay people if they raise it too much. if they don't rais it enough, people cant afford to live.
