Countervailing tariffs only serve to make a bad situation worse. Canada should listen to the US concerns over their economy and act as their junior partners, not their econom ic rivals. Canada's economy is way too small to compete with the US and a head on retaliatory measure will only mean that Canada will lose monumentally more than the US, when it is all said and done.
